The Byrds
In a major exclusive, David Crosby, Chris Hillman and Roger McGuinn -
the three surviving members of The Byrds - look back on the early days of the band’s astonishing career,
when they were seen as America’s answer to The Beatles,
before a lethal mix of drugs and battling egos set them against each other

ROCK JOCKS - Documentary aired on PBS the week of 06/16/03
I enjoyed this one hour documentary, (although to me it was too short)
that originally ran @ the Museum of Television & Radio
last fall '02.

CSN were prominent in this documentary.
"For What It's Worth" was used for the commercial / trailer for the show.
They also showed Buffalo Springfield performing, showed CSNY during Woodstock,
played Ohio while discussing the Kent State tragedy, etc.

There was also a period clip of Crosby, looked like
something from Journey Through the Past but it wasn't (I never saw this particular footage).

Jackson, Jim Ladd, Scott Muni, Vin Scelsa, Pete Fornatale, Richard Neer, Cousin Brucie Morrow, Rick Dees, Scott Shannon, Carol Miller, Pat St. John and Ben Fong-Torres, whose contribution to the early days of underground were chronicled in the film Almost Famous.

THANKS TO BARBARA for sending us the clipping!

In June I had the chance to go see

The IMAX Coral Reef Adventure Film

@ The Museum of Natural History in NYC

The visuals were eye candy on the over-sized screen. And the audio filling
the rotunda was wonderful to hear loud and pristine - our songs.

Songs excerpted included

Panama
Marrakesh Express
Southern Cross (reoccurrring in various forms)
Into the Darkness
I'd Swear There Was Somebody Here
Teach
Covers of Change Partners (instrumentally, as well as Southern Cross)
Our House

The song clips were used interspersed with the footage, where appropo.

This film's run is over before the end of the month here in new york.

If you want to see it - do so now

Check here for a listing of locations where you can check it out in the states and abroad.

Those who can not get out to see it, fear not - this is expected to be available on DVD.

But I do advise the large theatre setting to get the full experience.
