Let's talk Periodicals today!

I am a little behind on my reading. Today on the subway I found this quote
in the November 28th, 2002 issueof RS.

Pages 41-44 interview w/ Warren Zevon

"Warren Zevon and the Art of Dying"

Asked about the record he is working on currently -

"I always thought old age would be a good subject for rock & roll.," Zevon claims.
"If you thought Neil Young and I were mad about being young,
wait till you hear how mad we are about being old and decrepit."

I found out about this through a report this morning on NY1 News channel here in NY, via Entertainment reporter George Whipple in his segment called "Whipple's World" which featured
GRAHAM NASH and the Aperture 50th Golden Anniversary Gala.

He briefly interviewed Graham and also showed Joni during her speech before giving GN his award. - Lovely!

PRESS RELEASE
Aperture's 50th anniversary celebrations will culminate with a star-studded benefit gala at Sotheby's New York on January 9, 2003. Sir Elton John, who has been a serious collector of fine art photography for many years, will co-chair the event with Susan Gutfreund, who chaired Aperture's 2000 Cotton Mary Benefit Dinner, and Ismail Merchant, of Merchant Ivory Productions. The first Aperture/Michael E. Hoffman Award, in memory of Michael E. Hoffman, Aperture's Publisher and Executive Director for 37 years, will be presented to master photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson for his lifetime achievement in photography. Additionally, veteran environmental photographer Robert Glenn Ketchum will be presented with an award for his Lifetime Achievement in Photography and Conservation, and the Alfred Stieglitz Award for Creative Amateur Photography will be presented to Graham Nash, a seminal figure in the world of popular music, for his exceptional contribution to the photographic field.
