When Crosby, Stills & Nash formed in Los Angeles, they were instantly dubbed a supergroup, as the band's three members originated from some of the biggest acts of the era -- David Crosby from The Byrds, Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash from The Hollies.
CSN's self-titled debut -- released just three months before their memorable set at Woodstock -- became one of the biggest and most important rock records ever recorded, with its gorgeous three-part harmonies lifting the group to the pinnacle of the budding singer/songwriter movement.
